Pacific Sands Motel Is This Nano Reef System A Recipe For Frustration?

Is this nano reef system a recipe for frustration? - pacific sands motel

The system in question about 24 gallons Aquapod # 7051 can be found here: http://www.globeaqua.com/aquapod_nano_aq ...

I am 10 years exp in freshwater, but this is my first venture into saltwater tanks.
I have read (re-read and understand) all available information on this website: http://www.nano-reef.com/articles/ information contained therein is the sum of all I know saltwater reef aquarium.

I use increased by more than 36 pounds Fiji Live Rock
(PCS Scleractinia). ... In http://www.liveaquaria.com/product/prod_
I want 40 kilos of sand in the South Pacific using http://www.liveaquaria.com/product/prod_ Live from ...
Judging from what I read that fish by using directly to / back rock/sand-- True?
Now I have my level of knowledge, and that's the system I am happy, I ask you: Assuming that I am diligent in mixtures of water / maintnance, the use of this system is a reward or catastrophe, and why?

It appears that you have already done some research, so good for you! That makes things much easier for you in the long run.

I've never been a Aquapod, but it seems with all the equipment you should have to come to a small reef aquarium. They seem to be aware of the potential problems of nutrients in a pool of this size, but also keep an eye on the temperature of the water - that change faster, is less volume in a tank. With 24 years of age is possible - I reef tanks 10 and 2.5 liters, but the smaller you go, space, unless you have errors.

The 36 pounds of live rock will provide a lot of biological filtration - the usual recommendation is 1 kg of rock per gallon of Pacific origin, volume of the container, so that should be sufficient to remove ammonia and nitrite before it is a problem.

Want to see your water chemistry after the addition of living stones - If you order this line MM. Foster & Smith, you can die, some get off after delivery. Wait until you fall befor the ammonia and nitriteand try to add the fish. Investments are the most sensitive, then add.

Territoriality in a gallon of 24 years, will not keep you in a position to too many fish - because of its small size, and overall the majority of saltwater fish, consider the degree of concentration in order to get the fresh 1/2-1/3 water. Stick to a few small fish, peaceful, and those who do not like others are in the tank (if the purpose of obtaining a pair or one of the few types of training). Add the fish in the order of the least peaceful.

I believe that such a system could be very rewarding, but much depends on the agency selection and recruitment of Minten. I also recommend that you use the use of reverse osmosis water, salt-water mix, and a carpet of absorption of phosphate from the beginning to avoid algae problems before they begin. And beware of the placement of rock - may be regrettable if the battery against the wall if you have trouble with a scraper, algae are clean.

Another site I like to receive information and advice on the marine aquarium is as follows: http: / / www.wetwebmedia.com/ And when you're done already with the disease in some fish is a good link http://home2.pacific.net for the diagnosis and treatment:. ph / ~ sweetyummy4 ... - All names in red are links to pages with further information on the biology and treatment of diseases in the sea.

Good luck in the tank, and welcome to the hobby! You must realize, however - it is addictive. I started with one gallon of 29 and another 55 gallons in 6 months (now hold three reservoirs and salt water for several).
